HIBS NICK IT AT DEATH

An injury time winner from substitute Taylon Nicolas Correa Marcolino saw Hibernians kick-off their new Premier League season with a 2-1 victory against newly promoted Pieta Hotspurs on Friday.

The Paolites went into the lead after eight munites into the match when Jurgen Degabrile beat Pieta’s goalkeeper Nicky Vella.

But nine minutes after the break the Hotspurs levelled the matters through an own-goal committed by Hibs defender Andre Agius.

On 68 minutes, Pieta finished with ten man when Jalo Ishaya Irimiya collected his second yellow card of the evening and so was sent off.

When it all seemed that the encounter will finish in a draw, Hibernians struck the match winner when two minutes into time added on Brazilian forward Taylon Nicolas Correa Marcolino beat goalkeeper Vella.
