FIRST MALTESE ATHLETE TO COMPETE IN CANARY ISLANDS

Christopher Rotin will be the first Maltese kickboxer to represent his country in a professional fight in Canary Islands.

26 year old Rotin, who trains at Ying Yang Club – Team Noel, will be fighting during an event in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, on the 28th of April. He will be accompanied by his coach; Master Noel Mercieca.

Rotin will be competing in a K1 bout split over three rounds of three minutes each, and will fight against Canary Islands athlete Bismarck Cooke.

Being the first Maltese athete to compete in a particular country is not a novel experience for Rotin, as last year he had the honour of being the first fighter to represent Malta in Iran.
