MIFSUD WINS TRAP TROPHY

George Mifsud won the Trap Trophy at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club.

This event was organised on three qualification rounds of twenty five clay targets each plus the Final Stages.

The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were:

Angelo Ciappara 68/75, Michael Grech 66/75, Rudolph Zammit 64/75, Frank Scorfna 63/75, George Mifsud 63/75 and Justin Borg 60/75

This Sunday’s Final Stages results were;
1st George Mifsud 18/25 + 5/5 + 5/5 + 4/5 + 7/10, total score 39/50
2nd Angelo Ciappara 19/25 + 5/5 + 3/5 + 4/5 + 5/10, total score 36/50
3rd Rudolph Zammit 17/25 + 3/5 + 4/5 + 4/5, total score 28/40
4th Frank Scorfna 18/25 + 4/5 + 2/5, total score 24/35
5th Justin Borg 16/25 + 3/5, total score 19/30
6th Michael Grech 14/25, total score 14/25

The top three Shooters in their respective classes concluded their three qualification rounds with the following scores:

Class A
1st George Mifsud 63/75 (Count Back Rule)
2nd Frank Scorfna 63/75
3rd Nicky Carabott 60/75

Class B
1st Angelo Ciappara 68/75
2nd Michael Grech 66/75
3rd Rudolph Zammit 64/75

Class C
1st Christopher Farrugia 58/75
2nd Reno Gatt 57/75
3rd Jason Magri 55/75

On Tuesday, Brian Galea and Coach Francis Bugeja will be travelling to Mexico to compete at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun, Guadalajara, Trap Event which will be held between the 2nd and 12th March 2018.

The MSSF Shotgun Trap Programme will continue on Sunday 4th March 2018 at the Southern Shooting Club with the E.A.R. Trophy.
