INTERNATIONAL SENIOR’S TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF

The 20th annual Senior’s Open Championships got underway on Wednesday with tenpin bowlers from 17 different countries.

From the first tournament held back in 1998, the senior open has grown to officially be the biggest tenpin bowling event of the year.

This year’s participants are travelling to Malta from no fewer than 16 countries. The countries represented are Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Scotland, Sweden, Wales, USA, Finland and Malta.

The format of the tournament starts off with a twelve-game qualifying round, where the top 28 bowlers will qualify for the next final stages.

The next 4 final stages on Sunday afternoon will determine who will be the 2 bowlers who will go head-to-head in the Grand Final.
