After postponing twice due to dangerous track conditions, the Gozo Motorcross Association organised its third round of the championship 2016/17.

It has been an exciting event with the dirt riders challenging each other consistently while being watched by the numerous fans who came to support their favourite riders.

The competition proved to be an unpredictable and changeable moment wrapped up in a dramatic atmosphere of emotion, noise, expectation and excitement.

During the Class A competitions, the atmosphere was electrifying as the best riders raced against each other in the most interesting way.
Mario Cauchi dominated the day as he raced ahead while Steve Xuereb followed closely. Etienne Bigeni raced gracefully behind them on a CRF 250cc.

The return of Joseph Bigeni proved to be a challenge for Robert Spiteri as the two of them fought for 4th place. Cauchi won this category on his Honda CRF 250cc followed by Xuereb on his CRF 250cc. Etienne Bigeni came in 3rd.

Class B was just as challenging as Keith Bugeja, on his brand new Yamaha YZ 250F won this category followed closely by Matthew Zammit, also on a Yamaha YZF 250cc. Nataniel Camilleri came in third.

In Class C, riders are putting on an adventurous and daring show as they match each other relentlessly. Joseph Luke Gauci dominated the day and achieved maximum points for the day.

Mark Camilleri, Anthony Fenech and Daniel Camilleri challenged each other for second place. In fact Fenech came in second on his KTM 85SX, followed by Camilleri in third place.

President Frank Xuereb presented winners with the trophies at the end of a day’s hard work.
