YOUNG MALTESE BOWLER IN FRANCE

Tenpin Maltese bowler Matthew Magro competed in a Youth European ranking tournament in the Jeff de Bruges tournament in France.

The 15-year old Maltese bowler qualified for the sem-finals in 13th place and managed to climb all the way up with some fantastic bowling to finish in fifth position, missing the finals by a whisker.

There were no less than 78 players in his category from countries such as Belgium, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, France, Ireland, England and Denmark.

This was the 19th edition of the Jeff de Bruge Tournament, and it was the first time a Maltese participated.

Following his success Magro received several invitations namely from the Belgian committee, the English and the Dutch representative.

He was also awarded an MOC special award this weekend for his achievements throughout the year.
