LEAGUES ENTER FINAL ROUND

The national bowling leagues entered the final round, with all three divisions remain undecided with the top teams chasing the respective titles.

Division One is heading to a close run up between reigning champions okmalta.com and Ramis.

The latter are chasing a title after a drought of seven seasons without a title whilst okmalta.com are seeking to extend their winning streak and establish themselves as the second most decorated team ever after team Fina.

Team Fina are currently in third place, closing in on the leading duo and ready to pounce at the first slip.

Bank of Valletta are leading Division 2 with a small margin and keenly fighting to earn a berth in Division one.

Three other teams are chasing the leading pack, promising a grand finale. Two direct encounters in the coming 3 weeks may determine the final outcome.

New rules for Division 3 seem to have rendered the league more competitive as there is no runaway team this year. Atlas Insurance and One4all are tied at the top, closely chased by Scotsman Pub who must be the most improved team for the 2016 season.

The highlight of the current season must be the new record for four-man team game. Okmalta.com garnered a total of 1017 pins in one game to nudge ahead of the existing record of 1011 set by team Fina two years ago.

The record game was reached through some outstanding high scores from the entire team:
Rankin L Camilleri 277
Dennis Mercieca 246
Mauro Anastasi 229
Neil Sullivan 265
