SAGAN WINS RAINY STAGE SIX OF TIRRENO ADRIATICO

Peter Sagan won stage six of the Tirreno Adriatico in horrendously rainy conditions.

The Slovakian Tinkoff-Saxo rider claimed his first win of 2015 by powering over the line despite pressure from Germany's Gerald Ciolek (MTN-Qhubeka) and Belgium's Jens Debusschere (Lotto Soudal).

Nairo Quintana retained his overall lead in the race by finishing safely in the peloton. The Colombian has a 39-second advantage over the field going into the final stage on Tuesday.
