CAMILLERI SECURES IMOLA FINAL ROUND

Malta Formula Racing’s Formula 4 driver Keith Camilleri has been able to secure enough funding to competing in the 7th and final round of the FIA Formula 4 Italian championship to be held over this weekend at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola.

Camilleri was set to miss this final round at Imola, following a similar situation as that of Monza and Magione, due to financial issues. Surveying Camilleri positive performance in the F4 Championship, UPS and a foreign investor made contact, and procured the necessary support so that Keith will be racing at Imola circuit again.

Imola is not a new circuit for the 21 year old Maltese driver, who previously raced there in June in what was then the 2nd round of the championship. He did remarkably well in the 1st race, obtaining an excellent 5th place overall having started 9th on the grid.

Keith pointed out that he was relieved to secure the necessary funding for the last race of the season, and thanked the local representative of UPS in Malta and the foreign investor who believed in his abilities and in his dedicated team.

“Imola is a circuit that I really enjoyed so I am extremely looking forward to race there again. We understand that the car can perform much better than before, so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic that we can do well” remarked Keith.

Malta Formula Racing team will be going at Imola after having registered a perfect race weekend with 2 pole positions and 3 race wins at Monza 2 weeks ago with Mattia Drudi.

Drudi, who is also a race winner at Imola will be joining Keith, in the sister F&M car, together with Mahaveer Raghunatan who is improving race by race.

Zack Dante, Keith's team mate in the Malta Formula Racing, will be missing the finals due to the injury he sustained at Vallelunga 4 weeks ago.

The FIA F4 Italian Championship highlights from Race 1 and Race 2, followed with live broadcast of Race 3 may be followed on Sunday 12th October on TVM2 from 12:30pm onwards.
