SUCCESSFUL BMX FEST FOR MALTA BMX ASSOCIATION

The Malta BMX Association held its annual BMX Fest earlier this month at the National BMX track and in the recently inaugurate indoor skate park.

The event which was spread out over three days featured a series of competitions including Bunny Hop, Big Air and skate board competitions, Dirt, Death Ramp and junior races.

The main aim of the weekend was to gather the numerous BMX enthusiasts together in a friendly and sporting atmosphere.

Participants were able to camp on the track throughout the weekend making the event a memorable experience.

Participants tested and refined their riding skills with workshops organized during the event as well as other social activities.

Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport Chris Agius attended for one of the various displays given by the Association's members.

BMX president John Zammit had words of praise for the young team of enthusiastic organisers who transformed the BMX venues especially for the occasion.

He was also very impressed by the encouraging turnout of youngsters and former members.
