VALLETTA MOVE LEVEL WITH BALZAN

Valletta moved level on points with Balzan Youths at the top of the Premier League after a 2-0 win over Tarxien Rainbows on Saturday.

After this result both Balzan and Valletta have 45 points, but the Youths have played a match less as they will be in action on Sunday against Gzira United.

The Citizens had to wait until after the break to forge ahead when on 51 minutes Argentinan striker Sergia Malano beat the Rainbows goalkeeper, while four minutes later doubled their advantage courtesy of Matteo Piciollo.

Also on Saturday St. Andrews and Naxxar Lions shared the points in 0-0 draw.
