BALZAN HIT BACK TO DOWN BIRKIRKARA

Balzan Youths came from behind to beat Birkirkara 2-1, while in the other match Hamrun Spartans defeated Naxxar Lions 2-0.

Birkirkara opened the scoring three minutes before half-time when Matthew Guillaumier beat the Youths custodian Janjusevic.

But after the break and late into the match on 84 minutes Balzan leveled the matters through Bojan Kaljevic, while three minutes later grabbed the match winner courtesy of Carlos Eduardo Mendes Kadu.

Hamrun Spartans 2-0 Naxxar Lions

The Spartanes opening goal came on 39 muntes through Francisco Manoel Clavero Chico, while the second after the break when on 65 minutes Thiaguinho Espindola de Paula beat the Lions goalkeeper Nicht.
