HAMRUN HIT BACK TO DOWN SENGLEA

Hamrun Spartans came from a goal down to beat ten-man Senglea Athletic 3-1 on Saturday.

Senglea broke the deadlock after 12 minutes into the match when Rene Caseres Augusto beat the Spartans custodian.

Five minutes before half-time Hamrun leveled the matters through Triston Caruana, while after the break on 58 minutes went into the lead when they were awarded a penalty from which Francisco Manoel Clavero Chico made no mistake.

On 84 minutes, Senglea finished with ten man when Ivan Edgardo Paz was shown a straight red, while a minute later the Spartans made sure of the three points when Tiago Souza da Silveira grabbed his side’s third.
