GZIRA MAINTAIN PERFECT START

Gzira United maintained their perfect start to the season after a 2-1 win over Tarxien Rainbows, while Sliema Wanderers and Balzan Youths shared the points in a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

Gzira broke the deadlock after 35 minutes into the match when they were guiven a penalty from which Amadou Samb made no mistake.

Thre minutes after the break the Maroons double their lead when Emmanuel Okoye beat Rainbows goalkeeper Christian Cassar.

In time added on Tarxien pulled one back when Artur Benes brat Gzira’s goalkeeper Anthony Curmi.
