GZIRA HIT FOUR PAST MOSTA

Gzira United earned three important points after a 4-1 win over Mosta, while Hamrun Spartans and St. Andrews shared the points in a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Mosta 1-4 Gzira Utd

After a goalless first-half on 52 minutes the Maroons broke the deadlock through Zachary Scerri, while on 75 minutes doubled their lead thanks to Gianmarco Conti.

On 86 minutes Gzira made it 3-0 when substitute Carlos Reyna beat the Blues goalkeeper Yenz Cini, while a minute into time added on Mosta pulled one back through Tyrone Farrugia.

Three minutes later the Maroons restored their three-goal lead when they were given a penalty from which Carlos Reyna scored his second and his side’s fourth.

Hamrun Sp. 1-1 St. Andrews

Hamrun broke the deadlock on 16 minutes when Karl Micallef beat the Saints goalkeeper Jake Galea.

Four minutes after the break St. Andrews leveled the matters courtesy of Enmy Manuel Pena Beltre.
