HIBS EASE PAST MOSTA

A Gilmar Da Silva Ribeiro doubled helped Hibernians crush hapless Mosta 4-0 at the National Stadium on Saturday.

The Paolites broke the deadlock after just eight minutes when Gilmar Da Silva Ribeiro beat the Blues goalkeeper Yenz Cini.

On 20 minutes Hibernians doubled their lead courtesy of Jorginho Pereira Da Silva, while 10 minutes later made it 3-0 through Bjorn Kristensen.

Eight minutes after the break Mark Miller’s side scored their fourth when Gilmar Da Silva Ribeiro grabbed his second of the afternoon.

In the other fixture a first-half goal was enough for St. Andrews to beat Tarxien Rainbows 1-0.

The match winner came on verge of half-time when Michael Johnson Johnson beat Tarxien's custodian Philip Schranz.
