BAYERN WON'T SIGN COMAN REPLACEMENT

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has confirmed that the club won't sign a replacement for injured winger Kingsley Coman.

Coman was injured during Bayern's opening game of the Bundesliga season – a 3-1 home win over Hoffenheim on Friday.

The winger is expected to be out for three months after undergoing ankle surgery over the weekend but Hoeness confirmed Bayern will not seek to buy cover for the France international.

"We will do nothing more," he told German outlet Sky Sport News in Germany.

"We are committed [to the current squad] but no player [Coman] for three months."

Coman's international compatriot Anthony Martial, who is rumoured to be unhappy at Manchester United, was among the players linked with Bayern.

The Frenchman, who missed out on a place in Didier Deschamps' World Cup-winning squad, has struggled to make a significant impact under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Indeed, the 22-year-old was an unused substitute against Leicester City in United's Premier League opener and was taken off in the second half of the 3-2 defeat to Brighton.

But a move to Bayern is not on the cards following Hoeness's latest comments, with Bayern preferring to rely on their current squad rather than bring in a new face.

That also rules out Paris Saint-Germain winger Julian Draxler, and Leon Bailey, joining the club, with both having been linked with a move to the Bundesliga champions.

Draxler's agent has, meanwhile, ruled out the Germany winger leaving PSG, despite reports of a swap deal with Bayern for Jerome Boateng.
