HEARN FRUSTRATED BY WILDER TALK

Eddie Hearn has told Deontay Wilder he will now make an offer for a heavyweight unification fight with Anthony Joshua after growing tired of social media talk about a $50million deal.

WBC champion Wilder had claimed to be able to offer Joshua $50m for the bout, although Hearn quickly labelled that suggestion a "PR stunt".

And after Wilder and his representative Shelly Finkel backed out of negotiations this week, Joshua's promoter Hearn hit out at the pair for attempting to make the deal without offering proof of funds.

"People want to make the fight, but how can you take them seriously when all they're doing is talking on social media?" he told iFL TV.

"Deals aren't made on Instagram. Deals are made in a boardroom."

While stating his belief that the fight will happen, Hearn added: "If they won't meet me to negotiate, how can we discuss the fight? We can't. All they seem to want to do is put things out in the media.

"We called their bluff, smoked them out. I'll have to go back with a counter-offer next week and I'll send them a contract."
